EVALUATION QN 4: TECHNOLOGY

RESEARCH

BLOGGER
Blogger is hosting all of my other new technologies at the research and planning stage. As a multi-media social networking tool it allowed me to collate, archive, display and create research and planning with images, videos, sound files and posts that I could share with my group. It hosted all my other presentational tools, from Emaze to Slideshare and Trello. My blog is where everything can be found an there everything is kept. Feedback left has helped me improve my work and get it to a better standard. CLICK HERE TO VISIT MY BLOG

ONLINE MAGAZINES
I looked at Media Magazine to learn about the film industry, such as distribution.

TWITTER
I have created a twitter account for the movie that we have created. Twitter is a very useful new technology platform as it help communicate with the rest of the world in a very fast and efficient way you can also look for inspiration by looking at the your followings pages and get some ideas for your own project as well as get feedback from audiences.

YOUTUBE
I have used youtube to find copyright free music

for our trailer.

FACEBOOK
Our production company has created a Facebook page for our film.

INSTAGRAM
I have created an instagram page for our movie and have posted pictures in the style of our movie. I have captured moments whilst filming and editing and posted them as this is a very useful way of distribution and audience addressing and communication. Our account is called @riskmovie.

EMAZE
I have used Emaze to present some of my Trailer Researchs as it is very colourful and appealing. It is also easy to navigate and is very fast and space efficient.

POWERPOINT
I created some of my poster and magazine cover analysis on powerpoint and screenshot the slides and uploaded them as pictures. I thought that this was a very unique way of presenting my information and it turned out to be very easy to follow and understand.

PREZI
I have also used prezi to present information.

PLANNING
iMessage

I used iMessage to keep in touch when planning with my group.

GOOGLE DOCS
This is a sophisticated and flexible tool that enabled us to work collaboratively on the same documents. We used it extensively when creating the shot list, the call sheets and the scripts. It is flexible because we could update ideas, add photos of locations, plan the blocking of movements with photos to prompt our memories and keep our ideas looking professional and easy to access. Google docs let us create and share our work online and access our documents from anywhere.

TRELLO
I have used Trello to keep organised and plan everything I need to do in the near future regarding my project.

EMAZE

Like Slideshare, Emaze presents work visually with beautiful graphical tools and accepts PowerPoint uploads.

FACETIME
Mac Users may plan together using FaceTime as a video conferencing tool. FaceTime was important to us because it is live chat with a visual dimension, so it is virtually like a real conversation, allowing us to show each other our ideas for props and blog posts as we chatted. It is spontaneous, immediate and free to use. I used FaceTime to talk to my team member Chloe and talk about possible editing choices for our movie.

AIRDROP
As we have been using my iPhone, an easy way to get the videos from my iPhone to my Macbook is through Airdrop. AirDrop uses Bluetooth to create a peer-to-peer Wi-Fi network between the devices.

CONSTRUCTION
DIGITAL CAMERA
Canon D550, D650, Iphone 7 Plus

FINAL CUT PRO
I have used Final cut pro to edit our movie trailer.

ADOBE PHOTOSHOP
I have used photoshop to create my ancillary package (Poster and Magazine Cover).

  1. You have used an appropriate variety of new technology and you explain what you have found useful with some attempt at articulate reflection a a couple of hyperlinks.
